Scholastic has an online reading program called Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge. This program might help motivate your child/children to read this summer. The site also has book lists, tips, and activities to help parents support their children's reading this summer!
Parents can help their kids find books to read this summer. I know I don't want to read when I don't have a good book and neither do my kids. Here's another post with advice to help you help your kids find good books. Also if you choose to read for enjoyment, your kids will notice.
Everyone in my family is currently reading a really good series called Ranger's Apprentice. Even my husband is reading the book. He went out of town this week and took the book I'm reading. We are both in book seven. It's okay. Our public library has a copy. I'm heading there today.
